This New Moon on June 25th, happens at 4° Cancer, which is RIGHT ON my Ascendant
So yeah, this one’s deeply personal.
The Ascendant is something like the “cosmic doorway” through which we entered this life. The point that sets the whole chart in motion. The face we show the world. Have you ever looked at your Rising and wondered if you really live it?
WHAT’S YOUR RISING?
I am Cancer Rising here. But a Capricorn Sun. CAP Moon, too — so I know Saturn in my freaking bones. I’ve built my identity around strength, self-reliance, showing up no matter what. My feelings wear stark heels, and I have my sadness attend the meeting. I take weird pride in having my ducks in a row — whatever that even means.
But then there’s this Cancer Rising. Remember, Cancer is the opposite sign of Capricorn — the mother to the father, the other half of the parental axis. Water washing over the rigid, barren mountain scene. The tear that rolls mid-conversation. Public. Mascara smeared. It’s literally the face I came in with. The gut feeling I lead with — the one I sometimes judge first, and silence after.
Maybe you know that feeling too. Of holding it together even when the tide inside is crashing?
I do.
But you don’t have to be Cancer Rising to feel this one. We all have Cancer somewhere in our chart — that tender place where emotion lives first and where memory lingers, where the gut knows before the mind has a clue.
New Moons are for planting. And in Cancer, even more so. And with Jupiter = it’s ALL A BIG YES. The cosmos is whispering in your ear to grow into yourself. Grow into your gut. And to make FEELING so loud it becomes a direction. Fun Fakt: Right before this New Moon, Jupiter goes cazimi — meaning kisses the Sun and gets purified, recharged, and superpowered in the Heart of the Heat.
Then the Moon arrives. And just like that, the Moon, the Sun, and Jupiter roll up together in this one cozy Cancer ball. Remember: Cancer is the sign of home and belonging. Of mothering what matters. Cancer loves to see things grow — babies, sure, but also projects, people, and the parts of us finally ready to feel safe enough to bloom. Can you feel it? Thist gut-level nudge to drop the act and root into something real?
BUT WAIT, THERE IS MOOOOOOOORE
>>> FRICTION. This New Moon is squared by Saturn and Neptune in Aries — two planets in the sign of battle, identity, and fire. They push and test and say say: create something, NOW. Commit to it. Go for it. And then also don’t forget to water it! These two players add pressure to the birth. But pressure is how the pearl forms, right?
This New Moon is asking for the version of you that knows when something is right — without needing to explain it. The YOU that recognizes this internal YES. When the Moon meets Jupiter, intuition gets amplified; an when Saturn and Neptune lean in, it’s spiced with creative tension that dares you to begin something.
SO GO PLANT SOME SEEDS !
And yes, you can take that literally, why not. Just remeber that the Moon moves in darkness. So do beginnings. Cancer is soft and private – respect that! You don’t owe the world an announcment or an explanation. Just presence. And a step. Cancer is the EMO-archetype and teaches us about “being berührbar” (able to be emotionally touched). Cancer has the strength to recognize tenderness; and the wisdom to HANDLE WITH CARE. It’s also about honoring your own wound and letting it be seen. Because when you allow yourself to be moved, you move others.
Welcome to the New Moon in Cancer. May it bring you closer to your core. My chart begins with 4° Cancer — with feeling. And tonight, I will try my best to keep my Capricorns in check and in the stable. And to let the Cancerian part of me lead — the one tugging on my sleeve, whispering remember me? And I’ll say: YES.
What if you did too?
With love,
Berit and the Uranian Rabbit
